*STAYING COMMITTED IS NOT CHEAP AT ALL*
Professor Ndubuisi Ekekwe who is also an Entrepreneur wrote:
“Young people, this world has many promises. The future is promising despite obvious challenges. We skipped meals in school to balance the budget. But we were committed to what mattered: hunger must not derail the acquisition of knowledge. The knowledge of a person is the wealth of a person. Commit to excellence, work hard, show grace to people around you, your ascension will come. That you have no uncle, god-father etc is irrelevant. What is relevant is your determined purpose!”
Me: Growing up, I can relate with what the Professor has said. My Parents worked assiduously to cater for 7 biological children and other relatives liviing with us at one point or the other. We didn’t have uncles or aunties like our friends to run to, but today, we are uncles and aunties to our nephews and nieces.
Things were so tough that the last Christmas Clothing I got was when I was in JS1…..over 30years ago, but we didn’t go gaga; we kept faith and see where God has helped us to be in family, work and business.
With the right mindset, you will enter your silver lining in your lifetime. “Hardwork is work in itself, but staying committed with hardwork is a higher level of diligence”-Dr. E.I. Shaibu
